Juan J. Pineda, MD
Dr. Juan J. Pineda Lopez studied Medicine in Universidad De Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia and graduated from this excellent educational institution in 2005, but shortly thereafter his graduation, he did his Compulsory Social Service in Turbo, Antioquia, Colombia. Some time later, From 2008 to 2009, he studied English for academic purposes in Brisbane, Australia. Since his graduation, Dr. Pineda has accumulated an important experience as a medical provider in his country working in the public and in the private sector.
In October 2013 and during one year, Dr. Pineda did his Rotatory Internship in Hospital San Gerardo, San Juan, Puerto Rico. After that Dr. Pineda has been working as a General Practitioner in our community of Central Florida.
Mabel P. Rojas Vivas, MD
Born in Puerto Rico, Dr. Rojas comes with a wealth of experience in both General Medicine as well as Minor Surgery.
Qualified to provide high quality, cost-effective and comprehensive acute and chronic care combined with her high level of energy, motivation and commitment have been key to her success in the medical field.
A quick fact about Dr. Rojas is that her thesis for the doctorate degree explored practice and attitudes about menopause in women between the ages of 45-65 under the care of physicians out of the Gynecology specialization.
Hector Soto, MD
Graduated as Doctor in Medicine from Universidad Central del Este in Dominican Republic, doctor Soto comes with fourteen years of experience in general medicine and pediatrics.
His recent experience in the State of Florida includes a practice with a group of physicians in the Poinciana area, and a care clinic in Haines City.
Prior to his move to Florida, vast experience include prominent hospitals in the northern and central regions of Puerto Rico.
He considers himself a physician with an open mind to different experiences and new challenges and will be joining our group of excellent health care providers in Orlando.
Erick M. Ortega Perez, MD
Ortega is a passionate Doctor with extensive experience in Primary/Preventive medicine and ER/Urgent Care hospital settings.
He graduated from school of medicine at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra, in Dominican Republic, after a Bachelor’s Degree in biology from Universidad Interamericana in San German, Puerto Rico.
He also worked as a professor, at Universidad Interamericana from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico in areas like biology, anatomy, physiology, genetics, parasitology, and kinesiology .
Doctor Ortega is joining our medical practice in Orlando, and is also fully bilingüal speaking English and Spanish.
Daphne Buznego, APRN
Born and raised in Habana Cuba, Buznego endured the country’s medicine rationing era. She was able to closely experience what medicine can do for a person. When she was in high School, she used to sneak into the hospital with a white coat in order to see her grandfather. It was there, while playing doctor, that she developed the love for medicine. She graduated medical school in 1994 from Dr. Salvador Allende in Habana Cuba.
She had the opportunity to emigrate and she came to USA in 2003. By 2007, graduated from nursing school in Sagrado Corazon, Puerto Rico. Buznego continued her studies and graduated ARNP from Southern University in Savannah Georgia in September 2015. Today, she is currently part of the DNF family where she ambitions to continue her career and be remembered by her patients as a caring professional. She uses her knowledge of medicines to ensure the staff of Primary Care Physicians in Orlando at DNF are perfectly pairing the patients with the perfect anecdote.
Vladimir Valdés, AP
Valdes was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba in 1962. He is part of fourth generation health professionals in the family and began his studies in the School of Medicine in 1982. Through his scholar years, he developed a taste for martial arts, which won him championships. This new passion allowed him to learn about alternative treatments like acupuncture.
Valdes was the only physician willing to apply such methods in conjunction with traditional medicine and was awarded for his research in Abel Santamaria Hospital. In 1988 he graduated medical school in a time where drugs were scarce in the country. This situation allowed him to practice alternative medicine.
In 1996 he relocated to the USA where he worked as a technician in pathology for a dermatology firm in Orlando, FL. Once established, he decided to re-take his passion. He received his degree in acupuncture in the state of Florida in 2011.
Today, Valdes is grateful for the opportunity of practicing medicine implementing the benefits of the acupuncture treatment. He ambitions to be remembered as a professional who treats his patients as family and used his knowledge for the benefit of everyone. He is a great addition to our team of Primary Care Providers in Orlando.
Miguel Yanes, APRN
Born in a small town in Ciego de Avila Cuba, without having any family working in the medical field, Yanes acquired the appreciation of medicine from the compassionate care he received every time he was brought to the clinic when he was a child; the way he saw the pediatrician and other doctors treating him or his family became an inspiration for the dream to be a medical doctor when he grew up. He studied medicine at Highest Institute of Medical Sciences of Camaguey in Cuba, graduating as MD at age 23 in 1991, then he went directly through the residency in internal medicine finishing in 1995 as an Internal Medicine specialist doctor. In 1998 he became diplomate in Healthcare management, and received the accreditation as auxiliary professor from the University of Ciego de Avila in 2005. In Cuba he worked in hospitals and primary care clinics for more than 15 years. Yanes came to USA in 2008, leaving his family in Cuba, and then he had to work hard to reunite the family at the same time he tried to scale in the healthcare field from a medical assistant job to a professional position as close as he could to his medical degree. In 2011 he initiated a new era of study through the University of Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico first, then South University in United States later, until he graduated with a master degree as ARNP, becoming a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016.
Yorlenkys Dorley Vega, APRN
Her education began in Camaguey, Cuba in medical sciences, with experience as a Medical Doctor for five years in Cuba, as a medical assistant for seven years in family medicine and five years as a registered nurse in family practice.
She then continued to obtain a Nursing degree at the Sacred Heart University of San Juan, Puerto Rico followed by a Master’s of Science degree specializing as a Nurse Practitioner in Gerontology Primary Care, with skills in diagnosing, evaluating and treating acute and chronic medical conditions through physical exam and complete history taking on primary care.
She is known for achieving high levels of patient satisfactions she is focused on providing the highest quality care and always maintains a direct line of communication with her patients and the entire health-care team.
Andres Fernandez, APRN
The early years of his career began in Ciego de Avila in Cuba, where Fernandez, obtained his degree and experience as a medical doctor in the fields of internal medicine and intensive care.
Later, he decided to move to the United States where started practicing as phlebotomist in South Plainfield, New Jersey.
His passion for primary health care brought him to the State of Florida where he has been practicing as a family care provider since 2015.
We are proud to add him to our group of providers at our center in Orlando.
Yosvani Correa, APRN
Correa joins our group of providers as an attentive and highly trained professional with a strong sense of responsibility as well as vast medical experience.
His education began at the University of Medicine Ernesto Guevara at Pinar del Rio in Cuba, earning a degree as Doctor in Medicine in 1996. After moving to de U.S., Correa continued his education and graduated from Miami Regional University adding a Master of Science degree in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner.
While in Florida, since 2007, Correa has served in several healthcare institutions in Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Casselberry and Miami in areas like Primary Care, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Integration.
We are proud to have him joining our excellent team of providers at our DNF Medical Center in Orlando.
Jussep O. Fombellida, APRN
Fombellida is a healthcare provider dedicated and completely committed to provide superior patient care and treatment, capable of resolving patients’ needs and problems through the scope of multidisciplinary team strategies.
His career in the United States started in 2016 where he gained experience in important healthcare areas such as case management and supervising clinical services ensuring all field staff deliver the best quality of services to patients and families.
Graduated as Doctor in Medicine from Universidad de Medicina en Holguin, Cuba, Fombellida moved to the U.S. and continued his education at the Emiranza College in Ft. Pierce, and continued at the Miami Regional University to add a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree also in nursing.
Fombellida is fully bilingual speaking the English and Spanish languages and is the most recent asset added to our medical facility in Orlando.
Oleg Merges, MD
Dr. Merges graduated from Medical School at Grodno State Medical University in Belarus, and performed his second internship at Hospital Metropolitano Dr Pila and then became an Emergency Room Physician, both in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Before moving to Puerto Rico, he gained extensive experience in the management of patients in situations of medical emergencies as Attending Physician at Brest City Station of Ambulance and Emergency Medical Service. We are proud to have him as one of our providers at our Kissimmee center.
Ana Patricia Lorenzo, MD
Born in the Dominican Republic, graduated Cum Laude from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in 2006, then Board Certified for Internal Medicine in 2015. She obtained her training in Internal Medicine in the United States, at NYU Luther Medical Center — Brooklyn, New York.
Doctor Lorenzo is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic, performing as adults’ primary physician treating a broad range of illnesses. She also works to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
She boasts vast experience treating chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease. As an internist, she is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, infections and diseases affecting the heart, blood, kidneys, joints and digestive, respiratory and vascular systems. Her training also includes an understanding of disease prevention, wellness, substance abuse, mental health and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs.
Dr. Lorenzo is now proudly serving at our DNF Medical Center in the Saint Cloud area.
Angel O. Roman Munoz, MD
Born in Puerto Rico, obtained his degree as Doctor in Medicine from the Iberoamerican University in Dominican Republic, after a Bachelor’s Degree in biology and microbial technology from University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo.
Dr. Roman is fluent in both English, and Spanish, and is certified to practice in areas of critical need, by the Florida Department of Health.
His vast medical experience in Florida as Primary Care Physician, and Site Medical Director make him a valuable asset for our brand new offices in Clermont.
Ernesto Valdes, AP
Mairelis Figueredo, APRN
Before her move to the State of Florida, Figueredo worked in Venezuela as General Practice, and in Santiago de Cuba as Primary Care Physician, where she originally started her career after graduating as Family and General Doctor from Universidad de Ciencias Medicas de Santiago de Cuba.
She continued her education in Puerto Rico at the Sacred Heart University and the University of Turabo. During her time in Puerto Rico, she also took the time to work as a professor at Universidad Interamericana on its metropolitan campus. Now in Florida, since 2017, she has continued to provide primary health care services, and we are proud to welcome her to our team in Kissimmee.
Ernesto Velazquez, APRN
After obtaining his degree as medical doctor in Cuba, and practice as family medicine doctor, he moved to the United States. This is where he continued his education in Miami and Orlando, expanding his in-depth knowledge in different areas which contributed greatly to his vast experience as a primary care health provider.
Prior to recently joining our group of health care professionals at our medical center in Kissimmee, Velazquez practiced in the State of Florida for the past seven years.
Wyned W. Morales, MD
Dr. Morales is a dedicated and compassionate health professional with more than 10 years of experience. She is committed to provide patients excellent service to ensure the best quality of life.
Graduated as Doctor in Medicine from the Iberoamerican University in Dominican Republic after a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Microbial Technology from the University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo campus. She also obtained a degree in Medical Technology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, San German campus.
Dr. Morales is a certified physician for areas of critical needs by the Florida Board of Medicine, and also certified as a medical technologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology, US.
Her practice began in Puerto Rico, since 2008 providing quality healthcare services in several well known hospitals and institutions. She offered volunteer services in medical relief in disaster areas of Puerto Rico impacted by Hurricane Maria. In 2018 she moved to Clermont, Florida and continued her successful career with a reputable medical group in Clermont providing medical services to managed care patients before joining our excellent team of professionals at the DNF Medical Center in Orange Blossom Trail, Kissimmee.
