Angel O. Roman Munoz, MD
Born in Puerto Rico, Dr. Angel Roman received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Iberoamerican University in Dominican Republic, after a Bachelor’s Degree in biology and microbial technology from the University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo. Dr. Roman practiced in Puerto Rico until 2016 when he relocated to the United States to continue medical practice for a Florida State facility and another group practice.
Dr. Roman serves as DNF Medical Centers’ Interim Medical Director, is fluent in English, and Spanish, and is certified to practice in areas of critical need by the Florida Department of Health.
Dr. Roman’s medical experience and warm personality make him a valuable asset for our Clermont office.
Juan J. Pineda, MD
Dr. Juan J. Pineda Lopez studied medicine at the Universidad De Antioquía in Medellin, Colombia, graduating in 2005 and going on to complete compulsory social service in Turbo, Antioquia, Colombia. After practicing in Colombia for a number of years, Dr. Pineda completed an internship at the Hospital San Gerardo in San Juan, Puerto Rico and relocated to Central Florida.
Dr. Pineda is a talented general medicine practitioner with a large patient base who appreciate his expertise and down-to-earth style. He works in the Orlando office of DNF and is fluent in Spanish and English, having studied the latter in Brisbane, Australia.
Mabel P. Rojas Vivas, MD
Born in Puerto Rico, Dr. Rojas brings to DNF a wealth of experience in general medicine and minor surgery. She trained at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic, receiving a Doctor of Medicine degree, and completed an internship at the Manati Medical Center Hospital in Puerto Rico. Dr. Rojas provided general medicine services in Puerto Rico until relocating to the United States to join DNF in 2018. She is passionate about women’s health and her doctoral thesis explored practice and attitudes about menopause in women under the care of non-GYN physicians.
Dr. Rojas’s office is in the Orlando DNF location, from which she combines solid medical knowledge with high energy and commitment to her patients. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Erick M. Ortega Perez, MD
Dr. Ortega graduated from the school of medicine at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, in the Dominican Republic after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in biology from Universidad Interamericana in San German, Puerto Rico. He brings to DNF extensive experience in primary and preventive medicine as well as emergency and urgent care from practicing in hospital settings.
His academic experience includes being a Professor of biology, anatomy, physiology, genetics, parasitology, and kinesiology at the Universidad Interamericana, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Dr. Ortega is based at the DNF Orlando office and is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Ana Patricia Lorenzo, MD
Born in the Dominican Republic, graduated Cum Laude from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in 2006, then Board Certified for Internal Medicine in 2015. She obtained her training in Internal Medicine in the United States, at NYU Luther Medical Center — Brooklyn, New York.
Doctor Lorenzo is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic, performing as adults’ primary physician treating a broad range of illnesses. She also works to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
She boasts vast experience treating chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease. As an internist, she is trained in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, infections and diseases affecting the heart, blood, kidneys, joints and digestive, respiratory and vascular systems. Her training also includes an understanding of disease prevention, wellness, substance abuse, mental health and effective treatment of common problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs.
Dr. Lorenzo is now proudly serving at our DNF Medical Center in the Saint Cloud area.
Wyned W. Morales, MD
Dr. Morales graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the Iberoamerican University in the Dominican Republic after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Microbial Technology from the University of Puerto Rico, Arecibo. She also has a degree in Medical Technology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, San German, Puerto Rico.
She practiced in Puerto Rico for 10 years, providing quality healthcare services in several well-known hospitals and institutions, and volunteered medical relief services in the disaster areas of Puerto Rico impacted by Hurricane Maria. Once relocating to the United States, Dr. Morales continued her successful career with a medical group in Clermont until joining the DNF team at our Orange Blossom Trail office in Kissimmee.
Dr. Morales is a certified physician for areas of critical need by the Florida Board of Medicine and is certified as a medical technologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Daphne Buznego, APRN
Born and raised in Habana Cuba, Buznego endured the country’s medicine rationing era. She was able to closely experience what medicine can do for a person. When she was in high School, she used to sneak into the hospital with a white coat in order to see her grandfather. It was there, while playing doctor, that she developed the love for medicine. She graduated medical school in 1994 from Dr. Salvador Allende in Habana Cuba.
She had the opportunity to emigrate and she came to USA in 2003. By 2007, graduated from nursing school in Sagrado Corazon, Puerto Rico. Buznego continued her studies and graduated ARNP from Southern University in Savannah Georgia in September 2015. Today, she is currently part of the DNF family where she ambitions to continue her career and be remembered by her patients as a caring professional. She uses her knowledge of medicines to ensure the staff of Primary Care Physicians in Orlando at DNF are perfectly pairing the patients with the perfect anecdote.
Andres Fernandez, APRN
The early years of his career began in Ciego de Avila in Cuba, where Fernandez, obtained his degree and experience as a medical doctor in the fields of internal medicine and intensive care.
Later, he decided to move to the United States where started practicing as phlebotomist in South Plainfield, New Jersey.
His passion for primary health care brought him to the State of Florida where he has been practicing as a family care provider since 2015.
We are proud to add him to our group of providers at our center in Orlando.
Jussep O. Fombellida, APRN
Fombellida is a healthcare provider dedicated and completely committed to provide superior patient care and treatment, capable of resolving patients’ needs and problems through the scope of multidisciplinary team strategies.
His career in the United States started in 2016 where he gained experience in important healthcare areas such as case management and supervising clinical services ensuring all field staff deliver the best quality of services to patients and families.
Graduated as Doctor in Medicine from Universidad de Medicina en Holguin, Cuba, Fombellida moved to the U.S. and continued his education at the Emiranza College in Ft. Pierce, and continued at the Miami Regional University to add a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree also in nursing.
Fombellida is fully bilingual speaking the English and Spanish languages and is the most recent asset added to our medical facility in Orlando.
Yosvani Correa, APRN
Correa joins our group of providers as an attentive and highly trained professional with a strong sense of responsibility as well as vast medical experience.
His education began at the University of Medicine Ernesto Guevara at Pinar del Rio in Cuba, earning a degree as Doctor in Medicine in 1996. After moving to de U.S., Correa continued his education and graduated from Miami Regional University adding a Master of Science degree in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner.
While in Florida, since 2007, Correa has served in several healthcare institutions in Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Casselberry and Miami in areas like Primary Care, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Integration.
We are proud to have him joining our excellent team of providers at our DNF Medical Center in Orlando.
Mairelis Figueredo, APRN
Before her move to the State of Florida, Figueredo worked in Venezuela as General Practice, and in Santiago de Cuba as Primary Care Physician, where she originally started her career after graduating as Family and General Doctor from Universidad de Ciencias Medicas de Santiago de Cuba.
She continued her education in Puerto Rico at the Sacred Heart University and the University of Turabo. During her time in Puerto Rico, she also took the time to work as a professor at Universidad Interamericana on its metropolitan campus. Now in Florida, since 2017, she has continued to provide primary health care services, and we are proud to welcome her to our team in Kissimmee.
Solange Paz, APRN
A native of Ciego de Avila, Cuba, NP Paz attended Higher Institute of Medical Sciences in Camaguey, where she obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree, and later specialized in family medicine and ophthalmology. She practiced in Cuba as an ophthalmologist until moving to Puerto Rico where she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
She eventually relocated to the United States where she worked in the home health field while attending the Ana G Mendez University System, and receiving a Master of Science degree in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner. Despite extensive experience in ocular diseases, NP Paz has a genuine love of primary care and is working at DNF’s Orlando and Casselberry offices.
She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Laure Quintana, AP
DNF’s newest acupuncture physician has firmly established herself in the field of alternative medicine. A certified massage therapist and acupuncturist, AP Quintana is versed in all aspects of pain management resulting from physical and emotional ailments and nutrition. She obtained a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine and has practiced alternative medicine throughout Central Florida.
She is a committed practitioner to holistic health and is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish and French.
